Sticksy stores everything locally on your device and has no server. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data.
To display your sticky notes on the pages you attached them to, Sticksy runs on the pages you visit and reads the page's web address (URL). The address is compared, on your device, against your own saved notes to decide which notes to show. Sticksy does not read the content of any page, does not record the addresses of pages you visit, and keeps no browsing history. The only addresses Sticksy stores are the ones you deliberately pinned a note to, and those are stored exclusively in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device.
Export and import are manual: you download a JSON file of your notes to your own computer, and you choose a file to import. No copy is sent anywhere.
If you upgrade to Sticksy Pro, payment is processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. Sticksy checks your license status with ExtensionPay; this check includes a random extension-generated identifier and no notes or page addresses. See ExtensionPay's privacy policy at extensionpay.com/privacy for how they handle payment information.
Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes all locally stored data.
